Menu | Site FacilititesThe website of the North District of the Scottish Bridge Union offers three main services:
Site Facilities FAQWho can have club pages here?Any SBU affiliated club can have a set of pages here. I'm not a computer genius. Can I actually put content on the website?Yes. Maintaining a set of pages is very easy. You don't need any computer knowledge other than being able to use a web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or FireFox) and be able to use a simple "rich-text editor" (very like using a simplified version of Microsoft Word). Is there any training given for editing club pages?A tutorial document, teaching you how to do this has been produced. By following the tutorial, you will learn how to do this. If you get stuck...I'm just an email away . How do I get club pages? All you have to do to get club pages assigned to you is to send me an email (click here). What's this automatic uploading of scores thingy?I will shortly make available a program that you can install on your club computer. After setting up the program (easy...tutorial to follow), you basically forget about it. When a pairs events is scored by Scorebridge (and not before!) the program on your club computer quietly uploads the scores to your club pages on the website. What do I need for automatic score uploading?Duh! A computer running Windows 2000, XP or Vista (yes...the new one) and an internet connection. A permanently connected broadband connection is preferable, but it will work fine over a good old-fashioned dial-up, the only downside being that it has to go through all the motions of dialling up a connection. Website Editing FAQCan I create/rename/delete pages? No. Only the website administrator can do this. If you need new pages adding, or existing ones hiding, renaming or permanently deleting, please email the administrator. Where do I get the website editing tutorial?Click the link below...
