Schoolchildren's Bridge Party Session

Six teams took part in a Perfect Swiss event for the Schoolkid's final session of the year, where children from Robert Gordon’s Primary 7 joined up with pupils from Aberdeen Grammar School, St Margaret’s Secondary School for Girls and Harlaw Academy. The usual teachers were supported by our District President Bill Ross, Jim Mason and Edith Peters and a great time was had by all.

From this group, some of the children will be accompanied by the newly appointed SBU Education Officer- Joan Mercer for a training session in Glasgow between Xmas & New Year. At this event they will meet up with bridge playing children from all over Scotland and also some of our current Junior International players.

In the Spring of next year, it is hoped that we will be able to field 2 or 3 teams from the Gordons pupils to compete in the Scottish Mini-Bridge Championships which will be held in Stirling.
